fringe is an espresso bar and photography space that serves single-origin specialty coffee and homemade granolas and pastries. Our beans are sourced from small European roasters. We are committed to craftsmanship in everything we serve.

We exhibit carefully chosen photographers and keep a selection of photography books and magazines that is continually updated.

founder

Jeff Hargrove created fringe out of a passion for artisan specialty coffee and photography. As a large-format photographer, he sees strong parallels between the barista and the photographer. The barista adjusts a recipe to convey a vision of flavor, just as the photographer adjusts light, angle, and composition to share an interpretation of a scene. Both demand precision and thought—values that guide fringe every day.
